Fat and going out with a friend for drinks and I've got massive anxiety

I really need help. I'm going out with a friend in Saturday night for birthday drinks.
I've put in loads of weight since being off work with anxiety and stress.
I'm slowly losing it but I'm a size 26 bottom half Blush and 24 top half. I have big boobs. My stomach looks like I'm pregnant. I have a big bum.
I used to love wearing dresses and opaque tights but I now have no going out clothes and in stressing massively.
Does anyone have any advice (apart from not to go!)

Are you single ? I’m a bit fat and I hear your anxiety.
I am
Married and seem to wave my wedding ring finger in the air as I get stressed that people
Think I’m on the hunt

delilabell · 10/09/2019 21:57

No I'm married. I live in an area that is very "young" so being fat,37 and married feels like I shouldn't be out. I also have a child with additional needs which makes me feel like I'm not delilabell. I'm just minibells mom.
Im not a fan of jumpsuits as I feel my belly has no place to hide!

I know exactly what you mean. I feel massively self conscious. My husband loves me
I’m ok. But I feel like people
Think I’m
On the pull. I just focus on the person I’m with and ignore everyone else
Go. Relax. Ignore. Enjoy your friends company

buy a longline t-shirt, whack on the jeans and the leopard shoes, and buy a quirky piece of statement jewellery: some dangly earrings, a fancy bangle or a bright, modern necklace. Maybe in leopard, to match the shoes.

looking around town at night, most people are not getting massively dressed up: most people seem to be wearing trainers and jeans. Yes, there's still those mega-glamourous girls around, with the big hair and the tiny skirts, but there seems to be fewer and fewer of them -- maybe I just don't go to 'those type' of places?

nobody cares about you being fat (except you). definitely don't miss out on a night out because you feel too big, please!

hope you have a great time x

Don't get anything too baggy as it'll had inches. Also remember wherever on you that the top stops is what they eye will automatically be drawn too. Just under the hip is usually a good (and slimmer) spot. Under the arse and it could cut you short.

I think that black top, with black or denim jeans or black 7/8 trousers and leopard kitten heels would be relaxed but fabulous. Do you have a leather biker or a blazer to throw on top ?

This kind of look...

Thanks everyone. You've all been so kind. I've bought the top and some black jeans. It's supposed to be nice and warm so no blazer as yet. I don't know whether I need one or not?and a necklace do you think?a big gold one? @cathyandclare I really like that look.
