Faux fur coat

I've got my heart set on a big beautiful snuggly faux fur coat. It needs to at least skim the bum. Black/Charcoal/Dark Grey/ Very Dark Green ok. Up to £100.

If you have any concern for the environment, avoid faux fur at all costs.
Faux fur is made of plastic fibres that do not bio-degrade and pollute the earth and sea with micro-plastics.
Is a fashion statement worth killing off sea turtles? Or otters?

I’m trying to do my bit for the environment bu reducing plastics amongst other things, but I have a faux fur coat which I love. I never wash it so no micro plastics ending up in the ocean and I’ve had it for years so it’s far from single use. I don’t know if that makes it bettwr as per pp’s advice?!

New look has some nice ones. Since they are already in store I guess it’s too late now so might as well enjoy it and wear it lots

@DoctorAllcome there are a few companies developing ‘eco-friendly’ faux fur. But sadly not aware of any on sale yet.

@DottieLottie1 I didn’t want to get a new faux fur coat due to the environmental issues but got a second hand Whistles one for about £60 (new would cost around £250?) on eBay. It had only been worn a couple of times. I think more expensive faux fur looks a lot nicer and feels softer than cheaper options so eBay may be worth a look?
