Moisturiser help

I use moisturiser every day and then a couple of times a week I slather it on and let it soak in. The last few times it has sort of dried on the surface and flaked when I rub my face. It’s hard to describe but the bits look like the waste from an eraser on paper.

What’s going on? Confused

Same moisturiser, same toner, same cleanser? Or have any of these changed?
Brand new batch, or could it have gone off?
Perhaps the formulation of the moisturiser has changed - you might need to ask the company who makes it.

Are you taking any new medication?
Has your diet changed? Any new supplements?
Water intake, increased, decreased?

Oh gosh. I don’t use cleanser or toner. I wash with a face wash and then pop some cream on. I rarely wear make up. Same moisturiser though it is coming to the end of the tube.

I have had a facial recently. Could that be it?

It sounds to me like you might need to use a bit less, it could just be a layer sitting on your skin and rubbing off later. I get this if I use hylauronic acid under my moisturiser, like my skin can absorb any more so the left overs stay on my skin, causing the make up I put over it to 'pill'.
Maybe just stick with a thin layer and see how it goes!

That sounds very possible, thanks Smile
