These boots arrived this morning, and as it's raining I'm going to wear them today to the playgym.
They're translucent smoke coloured ankle boots.
I kinda like them and they are practical (I'm hoping so anyway)
What do you think?

I'd agree they are most probably practical but they look like you've put your Grans rain hood on your feet 😂

Pieceofpurplesky · 09/09/2019 12:45

Not a fan but if you must wear them plain socks are necessary!

TricksyLiesmith · 09/09/2019 13:32

Agree with @DottieLottie1 . A weird hybrid of a boot and wellies and not in a good way .

But if you like them go for it

MoltonSilver · 09/09/2019 13:34

My first thought is that they'll cut the feet off you. Hopefully I'm wrong.

withlotsoflove · 09/09/2019 13:47

I think they might start to annoy you and you might feel, like you have wasted your money?!

RavenLG · 09/09/2019 13:52

They're ok styled correctly. Not with trousers / jeans tucked in.

killerkoala · 09/09/2019 13:55

Thanks for the opinions, at first I wasn't keen but then I thought maybe they're so ugly they'll actually look cute, I'm mid/late 20's and fairly fashionable (usually).
Sorry if I'm being dim but what does 'they'll cut the feet off you' mean? And why would they annoy me?
They were only cheap so not worried if I end up hating them.

Pepperwand · 09/09/2019 13:57

Agree that they look like they'll be really uncomfortable.

MrsMaiselsMuff · 09/09/2019 13:58

They're hideous, and your feet will sweat in them so expect blisters.

So ugly very rarely equates to cute!

LochJessMonster · 09/09/2019 13:58

I like them and think they actually look good with those flowery socks Blush

NoWillpowerLeft · 09/09/2019 13:58

I think if you get hot they'll steam up Grin

MumUndone · 09/09/2019 14:20
Shock
ToftheB · 09/09/2019 14:33

They're not my style - but they look nice on you.
My worry would be that they'll be sweaty and uncomfortable...

Spam88 · 09/09/2019 15:03

I don't think I could handle the pressure to wear nice socks.

moonpiggle · 09/09/2019 15:09

Look very cheap, sorry.

ViserionTheDragon · 09/09/2019 16:07

Not keen, sorry. I'd get a pair of ankle legnth Hunters instead.

cocomelon23 · 09/09/2019 16:11

Don't tuck jeans into boots Confused. You need to roll up your jeans!
Boots aren't very nice, sorry.

itscliffmas · 09/09/2019 16:16

I actually like them! I would wear them, but I create my own style, I'm not very fashionable

Ellapaella · 09/09/2019 17:00

Agree not a great look with the jeans tucked in and that pale denim doesn't look great with them at all, sorry. If you like them and are keeping them then imo they would look better with black tights and a skirt or dress. Or if you really want to wear them with jeans then either black or charcoal grey.

boredboredboredboredbored · 09/09/2019 17:02

Awful. Sorry!

Idontneeditatall · 09/09/2019 17:50

I very much dislike them but if we all liked the same things like would be boring

CacenCrunch · 09/09/2019 18:01

If you did the laces up to the top they would look better

peachgreen · 09/09/2019 18:06

hmm. I think you could get away with them with tights and a skirt, and you might even be able to put patterned socks under them too if you got the right pair (I quite like the flowers). But definitely not with jeans.

RezCowgirl · 09/09/2019 18:24

They look like the boot version of the jelly sandal.

killerkoala · 09/09/2019 18:40

They were actually rather comfortable and I enjoyed wearing them and walking through puddles.
I don't really wear skirts or dresses unless it's a heatwave but next time I wear these boots I'll definitely roll my jeans up, not that it'll make me look much less ridiculous going by the majority of people on here disliking them 😂 at least they kept my feet dry
