What to wear when it’s hot and rainy?

I’ve got a city break coming up with my DH and the weather forecast is for rain with temps in the high 20’s. Rain I’m well equipped to deal with but not when it’s warm as well. Any suggestions on what to wear? Had planned to take cotton sundresses but not sure how they’ll stand up if it’s wet too! Thanks

For hot and rainy I usually go for a skirt no longer than calf length, so that nothing's dragging in the puddles. Trousers are out for the same reason. Then, I just wear waterproof sandals, usually a slide of some kind, but one which I'm sure my feet won't slip around in. Cotton sundresses should be fine. Take a light tote for your umbrella so that you don't have to cram it into your handbag and make everything soggy.
