Help style this long pleated skirt

I found this Michael Kors long pleated skirt in my local charity shop and really like it but no idea how to style it. I had assumed Fitted black or white top but because it's brown and cream neither seem to look quite right and then footwear? Again, white trainer look all wrong, it's past summer sandle time and I'd like to get some wear out of it. Not sure how clear the picture is so also found a link online.

Do you want to dress the shirt up or down?

I personally would wear that with a black long sleeved high neck bodysuit or a fluffy black jumper (waist length and fitted at waist) and white trainers and a leather biker jacket (not very imaginative, but that look would suit me and my figure/lifestyle).

A brown or cream slouchy jumper that finishes at your waist and long boots (so you can't see the top of them under the skirt)?

I am not stylish at all but that's what I would do! It's a gorgeous skirt!

Also, you could search on google images or Pinterest for the skirt and see what other people have worn it with?
