Navy and Black?

I love the colour combination, but do others still view it as not right?

Yes it’s fine and very current. No black and navy is a very outdated fashion rule.

I have a real dislike for it. For some reason.
I have issues with brown and black as well!

There's nothing wrong with wearing navy and black; It just needs to be obvious that you know you're wearing navy and black and weren't confused or desperate when you got dressed in the morning.

racheycat personally I think it's best to have different fabric textures when mixing black and navy so it doesn't look like you have made a mistake! But I've always worn it and loved it no matter what the 'trend' is. I have a cardigan from this season Hush that is flecks black and navy mixed and love it

It’s a great look and can be so chic, but it only works providing the navy and black are pretty good quality fabrics and not even slightly faded. An ancient Primark navy T-shirt that has been laundered a dozen times teamed with a knackered old pair of faded black skinnies isn’t the same.

I like it.

The only way I wear navy is with black.

I think it’s really chic. I have some lovely Cos navy wide-legged trousers which I wear with a skinny black polo-neck.

I wear it all the time, agree with pp about quality fabrics though.
