Suggestions for a waterproof jacket please for a city break

Looking for a decent waterproof raincoat but don’t want to spend an absolute fortune. Need it to wear on the school run, shops and city breaks when it is raining. TIA for suggestions 😊

I bought a long line parka style raincoat from Redoute. It’s not lined but is nice waxed cotton with a hood.
It goes anywear and being long means you sit on wet benches on holiday when you’ve been walking round all morning, It was a bargain in the sale ( and with various discount codes)

Agree with pp about Lighthouse. Nice jackets and properly waterproof.

@CarrieBlu softshell jackets aren’t waterproof. Showerproof and windproof but won’t keep you dry.

Any North Face waterproof. Worth the investment as they last years!

I can recommend Protected Species, stylish and completely waterproof.

Saltwater jackets are great. I had one for 5 years and its only just needing replaced so cost per wear makes them well worth the price.

I think Saltwater are great and their long coats do keep you and your legs dry!

For a reliable waterproof and breathable jackets, look no further than Berghaus. Amazon often have deals and their gear is very well made.

I've got several Jack Wolfskin waterproofs, they're fab for walking the dogs and I usually get the next size up so I can wear a fleece underneath in the winter.
