Is there a good alternative to Tweezerman?

My Tweezerman Point Tweezers are done. The point somehow got bent and the two sides no longer meet . They are the only ones that have ever worked for me. Is there a cheaper alternative that is just as good or do I need to bite the bullet and buy another pair?

Bite the bullet and buy another pair. I find the travel size perfectly fine for regular use and are slightly cheaper.

Tweezerman have a lifetime sharpening service, that includes realignment and recalibration. Just contact them and send them their way. I've done it once and it came back as new.

Yes Rubis - not any cheaper though! About £22/23 ish.

NoBaggyPants · 06/09/2019 15:55

You have to send the tweezers to the US to repair them. Maybe do that and buy the travel size to use until they return them?

(You pay for outward postage and they pay the return.)

Just looked at the sharpening service. I'll probably send them off but it is an 8 week turnaround and my eyebrows will not wait that long!

In the meantime, maybe the mini version then.

Thanks for the link @peridito. They are slant and I need point. I did have a look on that site but it's just the slant ones that are such a good price.

I've heard Rubis are better but I like the doughnut handle on the Tweezermans. I sent a pair off to the US for sharpening a few years ago. Back they came, good as new. It did take a few weeks though.

I thought the Tweezerman tweezers were great and then I tried Rubis - they're even better!!

CeeceeBloomingdale · 07/09/2019 07:23

I have two pairs of tweezermans that I've owned for over 20 years. I also have a boots pair I've owned as long and are just as good.

I bought Shu Umera tweezers 15 years ago and they’re still amazing so would recommend that brand

Slightlyjaded · 08/09/2019 18:48

Rubis are just as expensive - look good though.

I guess you get what you pay for.
