LL Bean - quality?

Found an LL Bean coat which is perfect for my needs - is it worth the cost and delivery from the US? Never heard of them as a brand before

It's really good! I've bought a few things from there and they've all worn well. Until a couple of years ago all their stuff had a lifetime guarantee as well.

Yes. I lived on the US East Coast for a long time where it gets VERY cold (last winter it dropped to -27 Celsius) and a lot of people wear LL Bean coats. They are very good.

I think they've scrapped that policy now but it was amazing!

I've not come across a stockist here and they have their own stores in the US rather than being sold through other retailers.

The online store (which I have used) is good and does free shipping to the UK if you spend a certain amount. I got away without paying tax but I might have just been lucky.
