Colour Wow Dreamcoat - am I missing something?

People seem to rave about this, so I decided to give it a go. Have used it twice now - sprayed liberally on damp hair and then blow-dried as usual.

I really can't see any difference. I have fairly thick, wavy, mid-length hair and it doesn't look any smoother or less frizzy.

Is there a magic knack I'm missing?!

Same question here OP.

nmc99 · 04/09/2019 13:15

Thirded! I'm underwhelmed

MagneticSingularity · 04/09/2019 13:33

Welp, this thread just saved me $25. Thanks OP! I’ve been eyeing this product on the haircare shelves for a while now but the price has thus far put me off - seriously, it ain’t cheap is it? - and I’m suspicious of most online review sites anymore. Plus, I already have a sizeable collection of half-empty bottles of similar so-called miracle hair products so really don’t need another.

nmc99 · 04/09/2019 13:39

I have just bought the nioxin recommended on here for fine hair so I hope not to experience the same with that!

Doyoureallyneedtoask · 04/09/2019 13:49

I’m the same OP. I can’t see even the smallest difference.

UpToonGirl · 04/09/2019 14:04

I had a sample of this in one of the beauty boxes and liked it enough to run out and get the full size version which didn't do anything!

withlotsoflove · 04/09/2019 14:50

The first time l used it, it did something.
Now? Nothing at all...except making my dry hair greasy!
Waste of money!

WhatMeghanWants · 04/09/2019 14:56

Not just me then! Hope others read this and save their cash!

So glad I read this - I've been thinking of trying it and nearly bought it earlier in the week!!

il0vew1ne · 04/09/2019 15:18

same here waste of money

Writersblock2 · 05/09/2019 07:26

Darn! I really want to try this but I’m loathe to spend the money after seeing so many bad reviews amongst the good. I need a sample, I think.

Mckmck123 · 05/01/2023 19:53

Aghh. I have just bought the dream coat after deliberating for ages as have tried so many products that didn’t work
going to try tomorrow so will report back

UserNinetyNine · 05/01/2023 20:34

It works well for me when I don’t use it often and clarify between uses. Maybe it coats the hair with so much silicone that it blocks moisture going in so dries out quite quickly and goes back to frizzy? If I haven’t used it for a while it is amazing, like I’ve had a Brazilian blow dry.

Moanycowbag · 05/01/2023 23:32

I love it, I. have fine hair wavy hair that pouffes in the slightest damp atmosphere be it rain or humidity and I find the dream coat stops this instantly, I use it once a week or so and sparingly as too. much weighs it down, but for me it's a miracle product.

faustina · 06/01/2023 13:26

it's my miracle product too - been using it regularly for a few years and it's never let me down. I used to use morroccanoil and that was good but I find this is better

Mercurial123 · 06/01/2023 14:38

I hate it. It turned my hair into a dry and stringy mess. It is one of the worst products for my hair.

Mckmck123 · 06/01/2023 16:26

Just used it and not impressed
my hair seems the same flyaway
i suppose I will have to see if the humid damp weather pouffes my hair out
i blow dried then curled with my Dyson curl things and it feels the same as it usually does very disappointing

bananaboats · 06/01/2023 16:53

Does nothing for me either total waste of money!
