Winter for me is always boots but I am fancying a pair of brogues this year, mainly for the office when my feet can get quite hot. Anyone seen any nice ones anywhere

  • I like these but without the yellow Confused

Does anyone know if any of the above shoes are ok for a wide foot?

ageingdisgracefully · 05/09/2019 08:49

My "go-to" brogues are ones from Shoezone. They're comfortable, cheap, lightweight and supportive.

I have other brogues - Hamble Oaks etc which I know people swear by - but I always end up in my Shoezone cheapies.

museumum · 05/09/2019 08:51

I’ve got red or dead from schuh in red and Clark’s hamble oaks in silver/pewter.

WildCherryBlossom · 05/09/2019 08:59

What size are your feet. My DD just got a gorgeous Geox pair for school (size 6). A lot of her friends have other brands. Might be worth checking out the school shoe sections (no VAT on children's shoes)

WingBingo · 05/09/2019 10:37

I swear by Hamble Oaks.

I have a tan and a black patent pair so they go wit a lot.

Have a look at Rogue Matilda. Divine shoes but quite expensive.

Ninkaninus · 05/09/2019 11:24

Marks and Spencer. Russell & Bromley.

Ninkaninus · 05/09/2019 11:24

Hamble Oaks are good too.

Chocolateteabag · 07/09/2019 14:40

I live in the M&S Flatform Brogues for work. They’re incredibly comfy and I also think they look good:

The last few years they've had 30% off for Black Friday which makes them more affordable, they are tremendous quality though so worth the price.

Clarks Hamble Oaks are recommended by everyone but are very good quality for the price, unlike many brands at a similar price point the lining of the uppers is leather. I do like Dune as well, they do fab dupes in leather although I find their shoes aren't the hardest wearing.

peachypetite · 08/09/2019 10:39

Rogue Matilda are beautiful

Ninkaninus · 08/09/2019 11:14

@Countfosco I never want to look at any footwear brands you recommend as I know I will love them.

Lucked · 08/09/2019 14:37

If you want brighter/interesting colours look at Shoe Embassy

BeBraveAndBeKind · 08/09/2019 15:45

I have two pairs of Hamble Oaks from Clarks and they're great. The lad in the shop said they are Clarks longest running design and every year they do the core styles of black, patent black and brown and a guest colour. This year it's metallic bronze I think.

I also have a pair of Red or Dead brogues which are a lot softer than the Hamble Oaks and lovely to wear.

peachypetite · 08/09/2019 15:59

What do you guys wear with your brogues?

XingMing · 08/09/2019 16:11

Grenson... but only if you want to splurge big time. Hence no easy clicky link.
