Thinking of splurging my boots advantage points on this as I have fond memories of it. But being available in edt only, does it last? How would you describe it?

I love it!

I came across it in the 1980s and it's strongly reminiscent of that era to me.

And it lasts really well on my skin. It's one that really does announce its presence IYSWIM

Thanks ethelswith I do like something with a bit of presence, but nowadays nothing seems to last, even edp hence my edt concern. Reminds me of the 80s too, a couple of relatives used to wear it and it's v evocative for me.

I used to wear it a lot in the late 90s. I found my bottle last year and it hasn't spoiled at all. It's still lovely and evocative. Check it before you buy as it was reformulated a few years ago.

I got some in debenhams 2 years ago - i had coveted it since the 80s but could never afford it. I'm sure I only paid £20 for it - oh my gosh it's so lovely. Really strong, lasts ages.

My only critisim is that the lid won't stay on in my handbag and I can't get it for £20 now!!! Go for it - it's really gorgeous.

Beautiful classic scent, lasts well ime

housewife I think all perfumes have sadly been reformulated as nothing seems to last on me anymore, even beloved old favourites that always used to (clinique aromatics, mugler Angel, estee Cinnabar to name but a few)

I agree as well, and what drives me absolutely bats is when they use the same name on a different smell (Miss Dior, I'm glaring at you)

Housewife2010 · 04/09/2019 17:58

I never understood why the recent Dior scent was named "Joy" when that is the name of the famous Patou fragrance.

In two words, my mum! She wore it all through my childhood, then stopped she said it became tricky to get, she moved on to other things, but I will always associate it with her. Bought her some as a little extra present on her fiftieth, more for me than her I think. I love it.

RickOShay · 04/09/2019 21:41

It was my first scent. I still love it, it’s rich and warm.

Vinorosso74 · 04/09/2019 21:45

My mum likes it too! I bought her a bottle for her birthday present.

For those without a Boots points card with points to splurge on it is cheaper in the Perfume Shop.

I have never managed to splurge on points cos I use them for my incontinence pads! Foxy huh?

I've worn it every day for the last 20 years & now consider it my 'signature' scent. I do not feel 'dressed' without it, but sadly now I can only really smell it myself for a few mins after I put it on. I still love it, I would say go for it a million times. The more people want it, the longer shops will continue to stock it.
