How do you lace your high-tops these days?

So I’ve just bought a pair of black high top vans. I love them but I’m at a loss as to how to lace them without looking like I’m trying to recreate my skater-girl youth I’m tempted to get some slightly wider laces, the standard 8mm look tiny (again, this might be due to me wearing extra fat laces in my youff ). And should I lace them bar-style or cross-cross? And - do you lace them all the way to the top?? God I feel this is a style-mine field...

I lace mine like a ladder. I'm not sure on the correct terminology. But there's no way you're getting out of looking like a skater in them... (as much as I've tried!)

Yup like a ladder, and miss the top 2 holes so you don’t have to undo them to get them on every time
