Hi I've bought these on a bit of a whim and now I'm completely stumped on what to wear them with! I'm fairly eclectic in dressing, skinnies, midi dresses and skirts, above knee skirts. Pile on your suggestions for wearing these through autumn...please!

Boho style midi skirts and skinny jeans. They are not THAT unusual!!! Pretty ordinary in fact. Not sure about the cowboy look with mini skirts. Definitely midi skirts with tiers for a modern look.

It is the pale colour that’s stumping you?

sheshootssheimplores · 03/09/2019 12:32

I just googled ‘tan ankle boots outfit’ and the instas are wearing them with pretty much every colour and style of outfit. So I think all you need to do is put them on!!

booktrotter · 03/09/2019 12:52

I think it's the cowboyesqueness of them! I need to just wear them you're right. It's all about wearing them with confidence I suppose

Honestly they’re fine. I was actively looking for ankle cowboy boots at the weekend as I fancied some. Would have bid on the most beautiful pair of UGGS but they were just too similar to some Steve Maddon boots I already own.

They're great! Is struggle with the colour, they say summer to me, but if that colour fits you then enjoy. Ye ha!

palahvah · 03/09/2019 21:38

You can wear them with everything!

halloumi2019 · 03/09/2019 22:55

I think the colour may be the issue too, I couldn’t pull them off. I agree that they’re versatile though! The colour is reminiscent of timberland boots which used to be super popular and worn with lots of different outfits.

If you’re unsure I would take them back though!

halloumi2019 · 03/09/2019 22:56

I think they’d look nice with light wash denim and all black outfits, particularly dresses.

Soola · 04/09/2019 02:25

If you struggle with the colour then dye them grey, then they’ll go with pretty much everything in an autumn/winter palette.

The toned down cowboy style seems to be a thing this year.... I bought these on sale the other day. Am planning to wear them like I would any ankle/Chelsea boot... minis midis jeans... almost everything!

What was I thinking?

Ohhh I'm a bit in love with the grey! The nail has def been hit on the head, it's the timberland colour!

They look a bit wishy washy colour & not something I would buy. Tan/Brown I find goes with anything & everything. I would be struggling to find items to go with that colour plus they will get dirty & marked really fast.

We all like different things OP, if you like them you like them. I suggest denim is probably your best bet for these.
