Does anyone know when the last 20% off was and if one is due soon?

Wondering the same. Was in today, they’ve actually got some nice things in!!

BestIsWest · 01/09/2019 22:30

I was in today and it felt like I’d seen it all before. In 1988.

Metempsychosis · 01/09/2019 22:33

It’s definitely a retro look but I think it’s quite wearable. I’m also holding out for either a blanket 20% deal or a Sparks targeted discount on something useful: dresses, trousers, jumpers.

CtrlAltDelight · 01/09/2019 22:46

My Sparks offers are currently 20% off trousers & leggings or 20% off skirts. Annoyingly, loads of things I'd got my eye on we're OOS in my size.

Metempsychosis · 02/09/2019 07:06

I’ve got swimsuits and tights on my Sparks. Not a lot of use.

BubblesBuddy · 02/09/2019 07:21

I’ve got shoes, sandals and trousers. Quite pleased with that! I had knitwear last time so bought cashmere. I like the multi coloured pieces.

There are several decent coats, trousers and shirts in at the mint tea. Always, always look on line! They grade their stores and some stores never get the better stock! But it’s there on line.

I just wish they would bring back high quality wool (or high content wool) trousers! In a charcoal colour!!!

BubblesBuddy · 02/09/2019 07:21

Oh! I’ve got skirts not sandals!

Sarcelle · 02/09/2019 07:24

Too many high necks. Its all very modesty inspired, disastrous if you have a big bust. The high necklines give me a shelf bosom. Not asking for low cut to the knees but need a variety of necklines. It's all very one size fits all.

Monty27 · 02/09/2019 07:29

20% reduction is nothing on their over inflated prices. 75% off might get me in there.

margaritasbythesea · 02/09/2019 07:55

Yup, many a potential good'un ruined by a high neck and a tie waist. Both put about three stone on me.

BubblesBuddy · 02/09/2019 08:12

Their prices are reasonable because I’m really hoping they source clothes from companies who pay fair wages. Shop in charity shops if you think MandS are expensive. They are not! You cannot have ludicrously cheap clothes and pay fair wages to (mostly women) in developing countries.

No, not every MandS top has a high neck! Plenty of V necks when I looked! Plenty of blouses and shirts with standard openings and some of the higher necks open at the front with ties.

Monty27 · 02/09/2019 08:27

@BubblesBuddy I do shop in charity shops do you?
I can source high quality clothing cheaper than a bra costs in m&s
And do let me know what their sweatshop and employment policies are if you know them. Smile

Deathraystare · 02/09/2019 08:55

I don't think Marks are expensive for bras. I normally handwash mine but made a mistake and put a George at Asda bra in the machine - the metal wires came out and the front of the bra crumbled away and no it was not a hot wash!!

Steviestamborine · 02/09/2019 10:25

I saw some nice shaped long coat/jackets but they felt a bit stiff, I’m waiting to see boots on the shelves.

rookiemere · 02/09/2019 14:28

I'm very happy with my new biker jacket, although I bought it online and now seeing them in the shops I wish I'd gone for the blue - maybe I'll get it if there is 20% off www.marksandspencer.com/suede-biker-jacket/p/p60219963?prevPage=srp
