Any suggestions on where to find pretty tops?

Lately, I’ve looked in my wardrobe and I hate everything in it. I used to dress really well before having DD, lovely pretty tops with beautiful details that I could still wear everyday. Lately it’s been jeans and a stripy top, and I’m getting bored of this look - it’s just become too functional for me.

I still would like to wear jeans, but I would like to look a bit better in them by pairing them with a pretty top - been looking in places I used to find such tops, there are none that I like. Any suggestions/links would be greatly appreciated!

I'm currently doing really well out of river island. I've bought so many tops from there recently and I'm ancient too, so it's not all about young, trendy stuff.

Great, I will have a look at their website. Really hope I find something, I’ve been feeling like such a frump lately!

How about French brands like Rouje, Sezane, or Comptoir des Cotonniers? Pretty without being fussy.

I really love All Saints for tops that are a bit different. I have quite a rock chick style so they suit my 'look'.

I can also usually find nice tops in Topshop and H&M too.

If you can, stay out of the chain stores. Market towns usually have independent boutiques that have to offer different choices and those can be fertile hunting grounds for pretty, not too expensive tops, because a quick top that refreshes everyday stuff is the mainstay of their business. They buy for their local market, and know what sells to Ms Normal, and the standard local sizes. And look at markets. Ours has a stall selling the sort of tops and jumpers you would see in France or Italy, and a decent pre-loved stall.

I've had some pretty tops from FatFace recently.

Thank you for those suggestions. They have so many lovely tops on the French sites!

Just bought a pretty top on Fat Face, hopefully when it arrives it actually flatters me as it wasn’t rated well on the website.
