Sick of thick, cakey foundation. Recommend me something light and airy. Tinted moisturiser maybe?

I want to cut back on my foundation.

I alternate between mac and milani and its just too thick.

I want something my skin can breathe in a Nd its light and barely there.
Any ideas?

Another fan of Pixi H2O skin tint. Lovely and light but you can get good coverage if you want. Also really good if your skin is sensitive.

Glossier's Perfecting Skin Tint is great - just evens things out a bit but not heavy at all.

I bought some clarins everlasting youth fluid today - quite pricey at £35 in my opinion - and I used to work for Clarins! But I know it will be good quality, last ages and the consistency is nice and light and glowy without being shiny. So far so good 🙂

Wayne Goss suggests adding a drop of facial oil to foundation and that has worked perfectly for me. I like my foundation (Supergoop cc cream) but as I get older, as the seasons change etc I find there's a fine line between 'coverage' and thick/pasty/chalky. A drop of The Ordinary squalane (or facial oil of your choice) sheers it out and adds a glowy texture.

Boots No 7 mineral foundation. Amazing coverage, lasts brilliantly and feels like you're not wearing any foundation at all, looks very natural

Mix half and half foundation and moisturizer
