Dark under eyes

I used to have really good skin that didn’t need much in the way of looking after but years and years of shift work and little sleep left me with awful dark brown circles under my eyes. I drink plenty of water, changed jobs 2 years ago to a more 9-5 and get 8 hours sleep almost nightly and it’s not got better. I’m 30 and don’t feel like I can leave the house without a make up session as I look exhausted or ill still Sad any suggestions or ways of rectifying this would be appreciated but also prepared to be told the damage is done as it feels like it is. I know it’s also partial genetic but none of my family look anywhere near as exhausted as I always do!

How are your iron levels? I always notice a difference in my skin and around my eyes if my iron is low.

Other than that, lots of concealer.

I have the same thing so watching with interest.

Though I read somewhere if you pinch the skin and the colour stays dark it's pigmentation issues and nothing will get rid of it.

Apparently what you need is a corrector rather than concealer. Look up Sali Hughes on the topic. I’ve just bought something by Becca on her recommendation.

Diet drinks give me dark circles. I think it's the sweeteners. Maybe try cutting out any diet products, if you use any.

I've just bought The Ordinary caffeine serum on a friend's recommendation. It's supposed to really help so fingers crossed - and it was only 6 quid if it turns out not to work!

I am also trying to drink more water and keep my iron levels up as I know both of these make a massive difference to how my face looks.
