Gorgeous! Where is it from??

Decisions12 · 01/09/2019 11:59

Miss selfridge!! 😮 I very rarely go in there but spotted this!

It looks fantastic!
Are you in your 20s?

meekatthecheese · 01/09/2019 12:00

I'd guess you are mid 30's (mostly because you have expressed a worry - from the pictures you could be 25) and you look great.

cocomelon23 · 01/09/2019 12:01

Where's the belt it comes with? It looks a bit funny with loopholes and no belt.

readitandwept · 01/09/2019 12:03

Definitely wear a belt

Platypusmama · 01/09/2019 12:04

OP I love it! Looks super comfy and casual. I've actually been looking for something exactly like this as my 1yo dd has something similar and I kept saying I wish I could find an adult version 😂 I've just ordered it, hope you don't mind! Blush

PullingMySocksUp · 01/09/2019 12:06

I think it looks lovely.
I’ve seen young and older people wearing similar. Smile

Decisions12 · 01/09/2019 12:06

@Platypusmama 👍 I don’t mind at all!! Enjoy!!

Yes the belt is there I will put it on. 😂 forgot about it! 🙈

I think it looks fab

GinasGirl · 01/09/2019 12:19

You definitely have the figure to pull it off, but do you have a slightly tighter t-shirt to go under it, your one is bunching up a bit. I think a smaller t and a belt around the middle will finish the look.

Soola · 01/09/2019 12:22

It’s very 90s but I like that style! It suits you.

I think it would look even better with a fitted white t shirt rather than the looser sleeve style you are wearing.

SouthWestmom · 01/09/2019 12:24

I don't love it the length is weird. But it is completely unremarkable and I don't think it's anything people would think twice about you wearing.

LaMarschallin · 01/09/2019 12:27

I've never felt anyone can pull off the Super Mario look, but it may help to be younger than older.

Impossible to guess your age without seeing your face, of course.
Like those women you see from behind in the street with lovely figures and long golden tresses and you put them at 30ish... then they turn around!
I think "golden deceivers" is the nick name.

MissLadyM · 01/09/2019 12:31

I think you look great! You've got a smashing figure!

LaMarschallin · 01/09/2019 12:34

Oh god!
I'm not saying you are one, just you really can't tell without seeing the face.

My neighbour, for example, could easily pass for 30 from the neck down.
From the neck up: 50, easily.

I'm no oil painting myself Smile

Plump82 · 01/09/2019 12:40

I think it looks fab and you can defintely pull it off. But agree that the tshirt is a bit loose. Something tighter than sits better underneath and also with sleeves just a little shorter.

Decisions12 · 01/09/2019 12:41

I’m in my mid 30’s, no tighter t shirt with a crew neck 😭 ah well. I’m not changing now so off I go 😂 thank you ladies.

picklemepopcorn · 01/09/2019 12:41

It's lovely! I wish I could wear things like that.

31RueCambon75001 · 01/09/2019 12:42

I like it.

If you feel ''too old'' for it I'm guessing you're in your forties. But I"m only guessing that because you say you doubt you can pull it off.
What I see is a nice outfit on a slim woman. It's not too short or too tight! It's not neon.

Go for it!

Disclaimer, I'm probably older than you are.

31RueCambon75001 · 01/09/2019 12:44

What I would do though is wear a smaller t-shirt under it. T-shirt looks incongruously shapeless under it. It you have a 'skimpier' t-shirt not so long on the arms, bit more of an open neck, that would make it look great.

picklemepopcorn · 01/09/2019 12:44

For anyone who ever asks themselves 'can I get away with that', I shout yes!
It makes me sad when I see women with lovely figures wearing drab clothes- of course they can and should wear what makes them comfortable, but as an overweight woman who has to rock empire lines, tunics, and smock dresses- if you've still got it, flaunt it!

iwillkeepthishouseclean · 01/09/2019 12:54

Needs belt you're in you're 30s possible early 40s defo needs belt xx

31RueCambon75001 · 01/09/2019 17:22

@picklemepopcorn you're right. Im 499 but im going to be guided by my evolving taste, my budget, my body shape, what's in style, what's flattering. I used to v occasionally try on an outfit and worry about being mutton, but now i think im just going to trust my taste will evolve gracefully.

ThatCurlyGirl · 01/09/2019 19:00

Looks really good OP, I feel like I can tell you're comfortable and feel good in it from your stance and you're right to!
