What do you think of this dress? I need something to wear for a bottomless brunch so need to be able to eat so was thinking floaty could be a lifesaver?

For context I am about 5ft 2 size 14, not the best legs so would wear with tights and low sandals.

Any opinions welcome as I am indecisive Smile

It's pretty but if you feel self conscious about your legs, is the length ok? I like it though!

GreyHare · 31/08/2019 23:24

Not keen sorry, I really dislike the sleeves, and it looks like it would be slipping off your shoulders every 2 seconds.

peachypetite · 31/08/2019 23:28

Tights and sandals isn’t a good look, I don’t think it’s the best you can find OP. What about a shirt or wrap maxi dress?

DamnDinosaur · 31/08/2019 23:37

Bit try hard I’d say. The short length, the cold shoulder thing (so passe and never classy) the slash neck, the cold arm thing???

Sorry OP I don’t like it.

IrregularCommentary · 31/08/2019 23:38

I think it's the kind of dress you wear if your legs are your best feature (it's very short!) so if you don't think they are, I'd probably look for something else.

KellyHall · 31/08/2019 23:41

If you wear it with 3/4 leggings and sandals it could be really nice, not show your legs and work with sandals. To get more room for food in leggings, wear them backwards - I did that when I was pregnant to extend the useful life of non-maternity clothes :)

PickAChew · 31/08/2019 23:42

I'm 5'4 and size 14 and would look like a ripped up chintz sofa in that.

First thought, for a "bottomless brunch" was that you'd need something longer to hide your lack of knickers :o

Thanks for the opinions - can I ask what you think on these two?

Sorry having a crisis of confidence and want to feel nice if that makes sense

Oooo, I rather like the floral one you've just posted. I'm assuming it's slightly longer than the other two? I don't think tights will be needed.

DamnDinosaur · 01/09/2019 00:30

Both of those much better. I like the leggings and sandals idea. That would work best with the floral one. Maybe with the other depending on the fit..

feelingverylazytoday · 01/09/2019 02:54

I like the blue one the best. Why do you want to wear tights though?

dudsville · 01/09/2019 03:50

I like the pattern and colour mix I'd the 1st one best, but agree the sleeves are not to my liking either. You're second floral dress looks more like a lunch dress. The blue is very pretty but looks like evening wear.

Jesaminecollins · 01/09/2019 05:15

Do you have more dresses to show us?

Giraffecantdanse · 01/09/2019 05:42

If you're 5'2" then the skirts will be longer on you. I like the red flowers but it might be too long!
