Clinique make up

Do you think Clinique make up is worth the money (not the skin care). I usually use Boots No7 and just wondered if Clinique may be good aswell.

I like Clinique makeup as the quality is really good & it stays on well.
The eye makeup in particular I like because I often accidentally fall asleep in it but it doesn't irritate my eyes!! I know I should remove it before falling asleep!

Their High Impact mascara is the bees knees

I really like the mascara- stays put for the day but washes off easily.

Haven't used it for a while, but when I did I wasn't impressed.

What about their foundation, is that worth the money as its double the price of No7.

Had a friend who worked on the Clinique counter. She said that out of the make up brands she had worked for, Clinique was the harshest on the skin (their cleanser tends to strip it) and the make up was fine but the colour range not great. This was years ago. I can confirm, as a pale skinned girl, that this Clinique make up artist couldn't find a colour match for me (she insisted she could but I could see the tide mark!)So there may be something in it. My friend preferred Estée Lauder.

Adding to that, apparently the foundation isn't great for oily skin.

Honestly, I would go to the make up counters and get tester pots as it all reacts differently with different skin.

I like BB cream but they might have discontinued it, I also liked their Almost Powder Foundation, but I'm quite oily so prefer something matt, I also like their brow pencils, eyeliners and my most favourite lipstick is Black Honey. I'm also a fan of their facial wash and clarifying lotion.

They do an anti-blemish solutions foundation which I rate. I just use it as a concealer, but it really works for me.

I used to (when I bothered to wear eye make up) really like their chubby stick eye shadows. I could never get on with their mascara and always went back to Chanel Inimitable.

I was a devoted clinique user, used both the skincare & makeup. I have had to swap as the skincare no longer suits me & I can't get a foundation or tinted moisturiser that matches my very pale skin, even the palest is too orange & leaves a tide mark. I am now using Boots No 7 as their skincare & cosmetics are excellent, the anti aging ranges I have found to be better for my 53 years old skin than anything I ever bought from clinique, they last ages & with the offers like 3 for 2 or the money off vouchers & free gifts make them well worth the money.

Nat6999, which No7 foundation do you use?

I used to use No7 skincare but they started putting fragrance in the products, the make up is OK though.

I've liked all the Clinique stuff I've ever used. I've never had any issues with it. Not that you asked but Max Factor foundation (any) always gives me eczema.
