I've bought a some new stuff for work and most of its black. Can I wear patterned tights with black dresses just to make the outfit a little more interesting?

I was thinking www.next.co.uk/style/st293335#526029

Look nice and maybe make me look a little less like I'm going to a funeral.

Anyone seen any other nice ones?

I wear tights like this for work, but my office isn't especially corporate/formal

I live in highly patterned or very bright tights. No black here.

White Stuff do some great thick, wintery ones.

I agree with the bright colours, if you're wearing black why not mustard, dark green or berry colour tights? I have some cable knit grey ones and find Primark sometimes have a good range to try to see if you like wearing them without spending a fortune, but I do have a soft spot for white company and Joe browns

I was looking at the Vogue A/W trends and statement tights are up there this year.

Thick black tights with evening dresses, sheer ones with patterns and some lacy designs were all on the catwalk.

Definitely worth getting a few all rounders for work wear.
H&M seem to have some great patterns www2.hm.com/en_gb/ladies/shop-by-product/socks-and-tights/tights-and-leggings.html?sort=stock&image-size=small&image=model&offset=0&page-size=72

I love patterned tights but those diamond ones are so boring, they've been around for ever. M and S usually do a couple of patterns but not a huge choice, and there are lots on tightstightstights.com, my favourites are all Gipsy brand - the fishnet effect ones look really good and are flattering on the legs which a lot of patterns aren't. I really like lacy ones but they aren't kind to my chubby thighs.
