Layering tops worn alone. Acceptable?

Have just bought a couple of layering tops from Hobbs to wear under jumpers, will add a photo hopefully. I think they look quite nice alone with jeans/trousers (ie not alone just them and my pants or anything, am not weird!) rather than with jumper over them.

Is that OK or will I look like I’m wearing a vest?

I know the website says they’re ok worn along but I wouldn’t trust Hobbs styling as far as I could throw it: in this pic they seem to have teamed it with black crepe work trousers last seen in 19997.

Yes think they look fine!

As long as ‘layering’ doesn’t mean very thin/ see-through, I can’t see there’s a problem.

It’s just a top!
