I’m considering the Cheaney brogues from Toast for this autumn (and many more to come I hope) www.toa.st/uk/product/womens+shoes/ffkac/cheaney+high+shine+esme+brogue+shoes.htm?clr=FFKAC_Black_sw

Can anyone vouch for them?

And tell me what you’ll be wearing on your feet once the weather turns...

I have them from years ago. They are absolutely beautifully made. Totally expensive but gorgeous and I think they replace the sole if it wear out. I think they are 'handmade' hence the price. I wear them quite often when its winter. I have a chestnut brown colour. I think mine are known as the olivia boot.

I love toast clothes and have recently bought a couple of dresses but I want some black lace ups so I have managed to snag a pair of Gabor boots for £50!

I have them coming in black suede
Gabor sports biker boots

During winter I usually just wear my boots [ I have quite a few] Hush ankle boots mostly.

If the weather is bad I have a pair of ilse Jacobson boots and a pair of long fur lined lace up boots which are super cosy.

I have recently purchased some brogues from Cheaney (not via Toast) and can vouch for them. The smell alone is a sensorial experience like no other, they truly cant be compared with any other I have ever seen on the market.
But it depends upon how important it is to you, how you are going to use them and how you treat them I think.
I’m a boot person mostly so wanted one pair of good shoes, so they fit well with my needs in this sense.

Mine are a dark tan lace up brogue, I will wear them with slim jeans and socks, or anthracite tights and dresses/skirts.

And neveradullmoment is correct, they are handmade in Northamptonshire. I got the polish and brush with mine:)
