Help me find a pair of trainers

My everyday trainers are slowly dying and so must be replaced. Please help me.

I want something stylish and comfortable. I need slim fitting (as in not chunky) to wear with jeans, shorts, leather leggings and maybe the occasional dress. I walk a fair bit with the baby and dog but I’d like to look at least a little bit cool (even though I’m not).

Other requirements. Not a leather or leather look upper and not canvas, maybe wool or that waffle looking mesh stuff. Probably grey, but other colours considered. I can’t wear things like converse as they kill my knees and feet. Ideally under £50.

Not under £50 but I have Nike Internationalists and they are great. Comfy, not too chunky, go with everything (well I wear them with everything!), come in various colours.

I love Internationalists as well but I find them a bit high at the back (the heel area) and they dig in a bit.

Schuh has some nice New Balance trainers on sale at the mo for less than £50.

ASICS are best for narrow feet, Adidas are second best. I am currently in love with my retro Adidas trainers with a “float” sole. So comfy, like walking on clouds! They’re white leather, though.
