Reluctantly I need to replace my winter coat (has lasted about 13 years and is getting tired!) but I searched all last winter and have started looking at this year's autumn stuff and still can't find anything I like so I am hoping someone might have suggestions.
I am short (5'2), about a size 14, heavy on the bottom with extra weight across shoulders and top of arms. My much loved coat has a fitted bodice and belt with flared skirt section which works for me (though the high button neck is a bit frumpy now I carry more weight there).
There just seems to be so many long, unstructured coats out there or boxy cuts or huge lapels on double breasted styles. All of these just swamp me, especially if they are in heavy weight fabric. I feel I need something a bit fitted and more delicate feel (though I don't do fashion and shopping much so maybe I am missing out on a style that wouldn't occur to me). The handful I've found in the cut I like are in pure polyester and I would really prefer wool blend. I only have a budget of £150 max so pure wool is out but I really want to avoid totally synthetic.
So do I have any hope of finding something to meet all those requirements or am I being way too picky??
(Depending how this goes, I may have to return with my equally picky requirements for a new bra which is also eluding me...)
