Comfy but smart kids jeans?

I have a ludicrously tall 6yo who is in 10-11 size clothing. He’s not overweight, but is broad and the older boys’ clothing seem much narrower in the hips - presumably as the proportions are different as they slim off as they get older?

He can fit into these types of jeans, but he complains they aren’t comfortable. He loves joggers (naturally!) but the joggers that look like jeans don’t seem to go up to the bigger sizes in any of the places I’ve looked.

I’m hoping to get some that are comfy at the top, but tidy enough to wear with a nice shirt... Anyone got any ideas?

Thank you!

Forgot to say - typically Next, M&S, H&M and supermarket brands tend to be narrow on him. Thanks!

Next do some of their trousers/jeans in plus fit, you will need to order online have you tried those?

Excellent, thanks - will look at that. He does well in Boden for most clothing, but their jeans are snug on him.

Apologies name-change-fail!

I was going to suggest boden too. My ds has some lovely baggy jeans from there.

They also do elasticated waster band.

I too hate skinny tappered jeans on my kids... they hate it too

I’ll have a hunt through Boden and see if I can spot the elasticated ones - we had their standard ones last year and as they weren’t stretchy they dug into his little-boy-tum! We also hate the skinnies - he can’t get his feet through them either!
