Airwrap - any tips from seasoned pros?

Finally took the plunge and bought an Airwrap. Used it for the first time today and with the 40mm barrels my hair was straight again within an hour. Had slightly better success with the 30mm barrels but they have dropped a lot.

My hair is fine, there's lots of it.

If your curls last with the Airwrap, could you talk me through what products you use please?

Also - how do you judge when your hair is 70% dry?!

Would also love to hear any other tips from seasoned Airwrappers; at the moment I'm considering returning it but I really want to love it!

If you go on the QVC site, there are videos of their TV presentations that give lots of tips and it's great watching different women using the various attachments.

I've only had mine for a month and I've mainly used the straight brush, but I'm now experimenting with curls and waves. My tips: use lots of product (heat protector plus styling spray), more than you would for a normal blow dry, and always use the cool shot to set each curl. Re 70% dry, I wrap mine in a towel for about 5 mins then comb through and start styling - better to start too wet than too dry.

Keep experimenting and you'll crack it! Mine was a present and I was panicking at first I wasn't adept enough to get the best out of it and the giver would be really disappointed... but I love it now. I have thick, fuzzy hair, and it's a total game changer.

I use frizz ease before, which I find helps keep the curl. Just rough dry a bit before using it. And definitely cool shot. I do love
mine!

I don’t really have any tips but I have coarse, grippy hair that holds curls really well. I use the airwrap on almost dry or completely dry hair spritzed with this heat protection spray

I struggled for a little while but my normally disobedient hair is still curly from this morning! I towel dry then give it a blast for a few minutes and then put some mousse through it (im not normally a product person) before I clip it in sections. Then take it in pieces and let it curl around, pull the air wrap through a little then let it wrap around again. To do it "by the book" you then flick it to cold for a few seconds then turn it off and pull gently out of the curl. When it's all done I give it a bit of hair spray. I love it!
