Smart Waterproof Coat

Starting a new job in a couple of weeks and want to up my workwear game. I'll be getting public transport so need something that's shower-water proof. Don't mind carrying an umbrella but a hood would be good and would like something smart for work rather than my practical park and dog walking coats. Budget is under £100 but cheaper if possible. Any suggestions?! Or am I too early in the season?

Not in your budget but there is a lovely independent brand called Rockholly. If you can scrape to buy one they are so very worth it. I love mine and it's so durable and 100% waterproof

uniqlo seventy quid

They only seem to have black and navy at the moment, I have the red and it’s very good, keeps the water off and is windproof. Not very warm for the depths of winter but you can wear something underneath, maybe one of their compact down coats (I just wear a cardi and a scarf.) No belt so is fairly shapeless, but kindof modern.
