Trainers for dresses

Please can someone tell me what trainers I need for wearing with dresses / tunics? I know converse is the obvious answer but they hurt my toes. Though I do wonder if the leather ones would be better so might try them on. I tried Superga and they were really uncomfortable. I have vans which are fine but make me feel like I'm trying to be 17. With jeans I live in Adidas Boost but they don't work with dresses. I have chronic tendinitis on top of one foot so comfort is paramount.

I wear white Stan smiths and denim levi trainers with dresses

Vans & Air Max 1s

Stan Smith works well with dresses imo.

The leather all stars are much more comfortable in my opinion. I have leather of those which I have finally 'worn in' and also canvas Jack Purcell which overall I much prefer to all star style and which took less wearing in. I can't bear being uncomfortable! I have Stan smiths which are comfy but a bit wide ( I have narrow feet). I have just got a pair of Adidas Samba which I love and are very very comfortable

White Stan Smiths or Adidas Gazelles (in various colours)

Also I can get the kid's size 5 so more or less half price!!!

moomoogalicious · 28/08/2019 17:30

I wear gazelles or new balance

The fashionable option are Dad trainers, big ugly things like Nike Air Max. I don't like those so wear Stan Smiths (super comfortable), leather Vejas (pretty flat like converse but more fashionable), or suede Pumas (not as comfy as Adidas).

I've got Stan Smiths. I bought a pair of Nike Internationalist but they were awful and made my ankles, which are hypermobile, collapse inwards so they've gone back.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 28/08/2019 17:37

Stan Smiths (I have a black pair, and a white pair), Adidas Continental 80s (I have a grey pair, and a black pair), and also Vejas, but I don’t find those very comfortable.

I have a pair of adidas sleek which I have worn with dresses loads this summer, they are great. I also see lots of women wearing vejas with dresses, they look really nice.

I wear Caval. I like that hardly anyone else has them (and hope that’s not because they’re actually ugly and I have terrible taste 😬)
