Help me choose a bag

My birthday is coming up and I'm thinking of treating myself to a Louis Vuitton bag. I usually go for Mulberry but I'm not loving their newer designs and find the ones I do like hideously overpriced and quality not as good as my heritage classics.

I am looking at either the LV Neverful MM tote or the Alma BB, both in the Damien Ebene Canvas. I have a few smaller Louis Vuitton items but not any bags, but they seem to wear well and hold their value.

Any thought mumsnetters? Or alternatives I should look at?

I like the smaller bag as it can be worn crossbody, it's useful for day but can be taken out at night too.

Have you looked at Aspinal London? I've got a few purses from them and one beautiful bag. I think I'm going to buy another one in the next couple of months. I always like bags that only have one main compartment. I'm currently hankering after the Marylebone, in one of the croc finishes or the Florence snap bag, but that has 2 compartments.

@tierraJ yes I liked the idea of the crossbody too and it's a bit different rather than just another tote bag.
