What can I go and get from the chemist today?! Three massive spots have sprung up overnight and I need to zap them now.

I vote for The Body Shop Tea Tree range, combined with Seaweed. Try the Tea Tree Target Gel - amazing product that you can feel working!!

Cherrypie32 · 27/08/2019 07:28

Thanks, need to dry them out, I put Sudocrem on last night as it was all I had and they’re worse this morning. I can get to a Body Shop.

Make a drs appt and ask for help long term, it’s not normal to get acne at all.

I got cystic acne at 41 and didn’t go quickly enough.

Cherrypie32 · 27/08/2019 07:31

It’s not acne. It’s three annoying spots but thanks.

Hi OP, read this thread, it seemed to help. Smile

GriseldaChop · 27/08/2019 07:40

I use Clinique clearing gel, put it on overnight and spots clear pretty quickly.

Cherrypie32 · 27/08/2019 07:52

Cicaplast from that other thread linked sounds good. It’s either suncream or sugar that’s done it!

OP posts:
Beautifullymixed · 27/08/2019 07:56

Yes, suncream and sugar are not good for me either!
I've stayed out of the sun this year, but the sugar is not so easy to avoid.
I used to be of the harsh attack on spots, but would be left with scars, pigmentation or even burns. I now go gentle and it works beautifully, especially as it's easier to cover a smooth spot rather than a crusty mess.

DerbyRacer · 27/08/2019 07:57

I hope you find something that works. The worst spot I have ever had appeared right in the middle of my cheek last week. I had to start a new job with it. I felt really self conscious.

I just started a thread a few days ago on ‘miracle’ products. Someone recommended Balanceme congested skin serum, and it’s incredible! I ordered on Amazon and it arrived next day. I’ve had a massive under the skin cystic lump on my chin for days, plus smaller spots and scarring along my jaw line, and since applying this stuff last night, the massive one has totally shrunk, and all the redness has gone.
Seriously good!!

Cherrypie32 · 27/08/2019 09:28

Thanks all, great advice and sympathy. I’ve ordered these to arrive tomorrow x

@cherrypie32 good luck, hope it clears up!
Let us know how you get on. Honestly, I’ve never been so impressed by a product than I am with that Balance Me stuff. I hope it works for you.

yellowsun · 27/08/2019 12:36

You need an oil to massage in to bring them out, an acid and a pimple patch - you can get them on amazon. Check our Caroline Hirons blog for a cheat sheet on spots!

Reike · 27/08/2019 12:37

Suffering from a sudden outburst at the moment...this thread and the linked one came just at the right time Smile

I've actually got the La Roche Posay Cicaplast at home, do you apply it only on infected areas/pimples or the whole face?

Beautifullymixed · 27/08/2019 16:47

Ooh tiger that serum does look good!
I love to layer my products, and would use my Asian serums/essence products under and over this serum. I'm going to order it too!
Reike you can apply it all over, it smoothes skin beautifully, and then apply an extra dot on the pimples, alternately you can just apply it on a small area.
It sinks in quite fast, so I apply lots all over, wait for it to sink in a bit, then apply vaseline. This combo really does heal spots, rough dry skin, redness and rosacea.
Plus it's so gentle.

Reike · 27/08/2019 17:22

Beautifullymixed Ohhh thank you. I'm gonna try this tonight, went out earlier and bought a fresh pot of Vaseline for this Grin

Beautifullymixed · 27/08/2019 17:48

Enjoy your vaseline! I am getting through loads this summer, feet and face. Smile

tigerbear · 29/08/2019 17:55

@Cherrypie32 how’s your spot?
