I am OBSESSED with a skirt I keep seeing. Please help me find it.

I'll try and describe it...

It's sort of knitted. But machine knitted, so very smooth, not lumpy, and quite thick. It's heavy. Above knee-length, A-line. The ones I have seen have been black with white polka-dots, but the inside is white with black polka-dots. But it's not reversible. It looks a bit stretchy, but I've not been close enough to have a feel.

I did see one in the children's section of H&M, but they definitely come in adults sizes too. They look like the sort of thing you might find in a weird knock-off shop.

I'm not committed to the black and white polka-dot thing, but I desperately do need one of these weird heavy knitted skirts.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Sounds like heavy knitted jersey fabric. The shops will have loads of it in the Autumn/winter.

I found this on my search, I know it's not what you are after but remember when people wore these skirts? I'm sure my sister had one in the 80's, now I want one!!

For your own search 'jaquard wool blend knit skirt' brought loads of them, they must be back this year as Lymehouse says.

If you have a basic sewing machine you could run up a skirt in an evening. Double knit ponte (short for Ponte Roma) jersey fabric is what you want. Easily washable, and uncreasable. Also the ideal fabric for pants.

Definitely a blast from the past! I am sure I had something like that in my teens (unhelpful).

That Wolf & Badger one is nice, but the ones I mean are a lot thicker.

This MiuMiu one that 3LuckyStars posted is the closest, but I feel there must be something much more affordable around.

White stuff is great for skirts like that.
