I feel unattractive after baby

I have had 2 babies in the last 4 years. I dont feel attractive anymore. I feel exhausted which I dont suppose helps. I am too thin and struggling to keep the weight on and not much time in the day for hair and makeup. What can I do to feel better about myself?

take some vitamins. focus on self care.. do what makes you feel better about yourself. i felt the same as you only i was outtimg on weight not losing it and just felt generally horrible about myself. I started focusing on myself more and doing a routing with moisturisers of a night to make me feel more pampered and drinking boiled water with lemon slices. little things make a differenceSmile

Thank you for your reply. I am taking vitamin c, a b complex and iron. Also have had my thyroid tablets upped which has helped with my general exhaustion. I think I am also going to start having some kind of build up drink to try and get my weight up. None of my clothes fit anymore which doesnt help. I dont even really know which sort of clothes to buy anymore. Things that will fit my lifestyle and make me feel good about myself.

Aah I'm 'glad' to see it's not just me with this problem, other women get bigger with DC and I also get too skinny (morning sickness and breastfeeding in my case)

What's your hair like? I've discovered long hair only suits me sometimes, when I've got a slimmer face a short bob/shoulder length suits me more.

I know it's a bit cliche' but I live in skinny jeans, converse/ankle boots, and nice jumpers - thick cosy ones help you look less tiny. (well right now, I'm pg and live in harem pants!)
I also really like short dungaree dresses with thick tights - and you can breastfeed in them which is handy.

Yes I had hyperemesis while pregnant and still breastfeeding at night now.
My hair is just below shoulder length. I've tried it in a Bob and not a fan and I dont like it flicking up on my shoulders so just below seems best. It does have a bit of natural wave and frizz though so I often feel it looks quite messy.
You have pretty much summed up my winter style there. I have ordered myself some lace up timberland boots. They are a bit clumpy but actually fit my skinny calves. I'd love to wear more dresses but I'm unsure what style would suit me.

Probably short dresses will suit you - I imagine you've got good legs Smile
You can wear jumper dresses if you are only breastfeeding at night. I was limited by needing buttons or a low cut neck.To wear with thick tights or black leggings as you are probably still at the sit on the floor in church halls stage.

Hand kids to partner if there is one and try and get some sleep, or at least child free time. Run yourself some hot baths with nice products. Stock up on/treat yourself to quick tasty food if budget allows.

Basically look after yourself like you would a friend in your situation. Don't be proud to ask for what you need. 2 babies in quick succession is hard work, I did the same. Hopefully if you feel a bit more rested/nourished/slightly less frazzled you'll feel better within yourself and clothes/beauty can come next.

I do like short dresses but I was unsure if they would work for messing around with the kids and playing on the floor with them. I dont want to be flashing my knickers all the time.
I have an evening to myself tonight. The kids will be around but I'm hoping once they are in bed I can get an early night. Also planning an evening out with a friend in the next week or two which I think I am in desperate need of.
