Must haves for a winter capsule wardrobe

I’m nearing 40 and would like to build a capsule type wardrobe for winter. Happy to invest in some good quality pieces and would welcome suggestions. I’m petite and curvy (hourglass) and prefer neutral colours and practical clothes usually wearing jeans or leggings when not working and tailored dresses etc when at work. I’d love some links to inspire me!

Imo you need a long line cashmere cardigan, a long line V neck cashmere sweater and a large cashmere wrap or poncho.
I finally got round to buying a good trenchcoat last year and love it. More autumn than winter, but so useful.

I have a few ‘good’
wool coats eg jaeger
Buy lightweight plain knitwear merino or cashmere TKMaxx or Benetton

An hourglass here too. My winter must-haves (in a palette that suits you and where it all goes, so mine is cream, ochre, rust, khaki, navy):

Tweed or wool pencil skirt
Slim-fit wool or silk polonecks
Silk blouse
OTK boots (flat and heeled)
Tapered high waisted wool trousers
Heeled ankle boots
Nipped waist 50s coat (search vintage princess coat on etsy)
Flat brogues
Fitted, cropped cashmere sweaters

@Sigh81 - that's a lovely list.
