Help needed with mature skin - feels very rough

I really need the help of all you lovely experts on S & B. I am in my early 60s, very ill with a lot of chronic conditions, and I have to take loads of meds every day, including steroids. I haven’t done any sunbathing for around thirty years. Because of the steroids and being mostly bedridden, I have put on quite a lot of weight on my body and face. I hardly ever leave the house and am very weak and ill.

The skin on my face is mostly in good condition with very few spots these days, but with some inevitable wrinkles. It is smooth on my forehead, nose and chin, but my cheeks are very rough. To try to improve my skin, I used a mild exfoliator a few times, as I did when I was younger. This hasn’t helped at all and neither have any of the moisturisers. My cheeks are still rough to the touch.

Does anyone have any ideas for how I can improve my skin? TIA

It sounds like your meds are drying out your skin. I get this rough feeling and recently did a trial for M&S and I'm sure it was this product www.marksandspencer.com/restore-extra-rich-day-cream-spf2o-50ml/p/p22451082?prevPage=plp
I currently have soft skin and I only need to use it a couple of times a week.
