My perfume is just about to run out. I love wearing it everyday and can't justify an expensive one.
What perfumes do you wear that lasts and doesn't cost much ?

OP posts:

Any of the Next fragrances. 100 ml for £14 I am currently on Summer Sun which really captures summer in a fragrance for me and I am forever being asked what I am wearing. Beyoncé Heat , Heat Rush etc usually comes in around the £14 for 100ml too.

sleepismysuperpower1 · 25/08/2019 11:53

i use this one and it lasts. i find the smell lasts longer if you put a very small bit of vaseline on your wrist before you spray it x

LoonyLunaLoo · 25/08/2019 11:54

Yes the Next fragrances are fantastic, just pop into store and try a few. They’re quite strong and long lasting.

TheQueef · 25/08/2019 11:54

Lidl perfume lasts forever on me.
Easily as good as tresor.

moonpiggle · 25/08/2019 11:57

Cerrutti 1881, I got this on offer for £25 from Very I thinks its £52 in Superdrug.
Burberry Touch £25 in BnM bargains...I think?
Have you tried Next perfumes? They have some really nice ones for less than £20. Have a look of not.

moonpiggle · 25/08/2019 11:58

@Lidlfix Summer Sun by Next is gorgeous! Coconut scent perfect for summer.

ElspethFlashman · 25/08/2019 11:59

Zara ones are fantastic too, and they have loads. Smell really expensive.

timshelthechoice · 25/08/2019 12:00

M&S Rosie by Autograph. Avon 'Lucky'.

MonkeyToesOfDoom · 25/08/2019 12:02

Probably old fashioned these days, but Yardley at boots are still nice fragrances.
Especially the violet one..

Propertyofhood · 25/08/2019 12:02

Agree with everything said about Next Perfumes - Just Pink is a spot on dupe for Ralph Lauren Romance and Summer Sun is gorgeous, as are several others (weirdly the blokes ones are all horrible...)

Or, have you looked at Perfume Parlour? Hundreds of excellent dupes in oil or spray form at crazy cheap prices. In fact if you go on the website and type in your current perfume they probably have a dupe of it.

MrsPellegrinoPetrichor · 25/08/2019 12:02

Next Cashmere is gorgeous and I always get lots of compliments when I wear it.

Dontfuckingsaycheese · 25/08/2019 12:03

Primark's Seasalt and sage - £8 for 100ml I think - it lasts and it's so like Jo Malone - they also do pomegranate and black tea and mandarin and basil - both of these also smell dead posh ;-)

teta · 25/08/2019 12:30

M&s island escape is a sunny beachy bergamot.

ginyogarepeat · 25/08/2019 12:59

Perfume parlour!

Parttimewasteoftime · 25/08/2019 13:19

Lovely by SJP is good got a huge bottle for £20 at perfume shop

DancelikeEmmaGoldman · 25/08/2019 13:21

Probably old fashioned these days, but Yardley at boots are still nice fragrances.
Especially the violet one.

Yardley reformulated all their single flower scents (violets, lavender, lily of the valley), so they all smell like cheap, generic florals. I was very fond of the violet one, but it smells like room freshener now.

When I’m too poor for proper scent, I like good quality essential oils. Ylang ylang, geranium, sandlewood, lemon.

L’Occitane solid perfumes are not super-expensive and generally good quality, although not really long-lasting.

Definitely Perfume Parlour, they do really good copies of all the branded perfumes for pittance. If you like Jo Malone, I find PP better as the perfume is longer lasting. I can also vouch for their version of Gucci Bamboo.

peachypetite · 25/08/2019 13:25

Does anyone else find Zara perfumes smell nice but do not last at all?

timshelthechoice · 25/08/2019 13:45

I've never found a 'cheap' perfume yet that lasts, tbh, peachy.

MrsPellegrinoPetrichor · 25/08/2019 13:55

The Next one I mentioned earlier definitley lasts all day.

LemonPrism · 25/08/2019 15:34

Nuxe Sun Fragrant Water - it's £10 and everyone compliments it

LemonPrism · 25/08/2019 15:37

Don't get Yardley they smell like a care home

queenofmycastlex · 25/08/2019 16:21

Another vote for most of the Next fragrances. A lot of them smell exactly like much more expensive versions and they last pretty well on your skin!

AvocadoLovingMamaOfOne · 25/08/2019 16:23

Jenny glow or next. I like the smell of a few zara ones and have bought a few but they never last long.
