Need hair accessory and shoes advice from S&B gurus

Hi all,

Would really appreciate your fashionable advice on how to accessorise this dress. October wedding - so might be chilly?

I'm a big girl (size 22) so footwear low to medium and stable heel needed.

I have a shoulder length bob that I can blow dry straight but have zero skills on how to do an "up do"

I'd really like to make an impression and look a bit cool and funky. I tend to wear clothes that age me (in my 40s) so I've really lost my sense of style.

I would be ever so grateful for any pointers or maybe links to what a whole outfit might look like.

Shall I go for a fascinator or do they look frumpy?

My guess is to match something in blue and a flower design to complement the flowery dress or is this considered too matchy matchy.

I think you should go for navy shoes and accessories. Will you have bare legs? I really like the dress btw.

Wedding and reception in one place in this wedding barn venue place. Will be lots of pretty, young, beautiful creatures there so I feel under pressure to make an effort.

Was planning to wear tan tights which is the best bare leg I can summon (hate my legs and they are too ugly to not be covered).

Personally I'd wear navy shoes & the pink fascinator but then I love colour.
You could then either get a navy bag or a bright pink bag.

Look in Accessorize too for bags etc.

What jewellery will you wear??

Do you think I should have nude shoes with the nude tights. I know I'm dreaming that I'd get Princess Kate kegs but could it not give me a slimming effect?

No bloody idea about bag or jewellery. Probably something delicate if I'm going for a statementy fascinator.

I'm not sure about the pink hat (and I wear hot pink a LOT) as I think it will be too many colours. The dress colours are fairly muted so I think the hot pink would be too harsh. I would go with nude shoes, blue or green bag and blue or green disc hat.
