A 2 hour consultation and lesson with a professional make up artist who will teach you how to use all products and what suits you best etc.

Can I have a guess? £50 p/h so £100 for the session.

WowOoo · 22/08/2019 11:08

Nothing - I'd go to a beauty counter and ask for a member of staff with nice make up on.

Caselgarcia · 22/08/2019 11:14

Is it aimed at people buying it for a gift or themselves? I wouldn't pay more than 50 pounds if it was a gift. Two hours would be too long if I was buying it for myself. I'd pay 30 for an hour but I'm probably not your target market, I'm old and use minimal make up these days.

Namechange3007 · 22/08/2019 11:25

I'm not looking to provide the service but use it for myself.

I wouldnt pay for it myself but I would say at least £80.

UpToonGirl · 22/08/2019 13:46

I've seen Mac and similar brands offer them for about 50 but that's redeemable against any purchases. Not sure if you're talking about someone independent, a bit more possibly.

YahBasic · 22/08/2019 13:59

No more than 70 but I’d rather go somewhere where that is redeemable.

I had a lesson as part of a hen do a few years ago, and we took our own makeup so we could be taught using what we already owned, plus given recommendations. That was 25 for the hour.

Star801 · 22/08/2019 15:07

£50-£75? Maybe closer to £100 if you get any make-up to take away.

TellItLikeItReallyIs · 22/08/2019 17:06

Depends on the expertise of the make up artist and whether they are affiliated with particular brands.

Highly expert make up artist who does celebrities and totally independent probably anywhere between £100 - £250 an hour.

Not particularly expert and going to be plugging particular brands on commission £40 - £50 an hour.
