Style advice for daytime pub crawl? Help

vaz119 · 22/08/2019 07:52

I'm off out this weekend for a daytime drinking and lunch, and I have no clue what to wear,

I'm getting a bit fed up of my usual 'jeans and a nice top'

We'll be walking a fair bit so heels are probably out. It's potentially going to rain so I've to factor that in too.

Hit me with some ideas, pretty please

I'm 38, 5ft 2 and a curvy 12-14. (ive put on weight so I'm probably just not feeling my best right now... But this is stressing me way more than it should!)

Any ideas much appreciated

Summer dress, denim jacket and white converse. I'm same shape and height as you and am really into dresses at the moment.

Second that! Or a midi/long skirt, t shirt and denim or leather jacket. Trainers, flat sandals or converse.

Kaz2200 · 22/08/2019 09:28

I struggle with midi length being short.

What about something like this

Lots of choice on asos.

this dress has been in my saved items for ages but out of stock in my size.

I was going to wear it with a white t shirt underneath, denim jacket and converse.

Culottes, plain top tucked in and leather or denim jacket with trainers or sandals.

vaz119 · 22/08/2019 16:49

thank you all for your suggestions!

I always just worry trainers will be too casual but I guess the are we are going to is a bit 'trendy' so I should be fine!

I checked the weather forecast and even though i.m in Scotland...it oks like it might be dry and the sun might come out!

kaz2200 thanks for the link..i've actually tried that dress on in new look!

whiffle...I absolutely love that dress ...im not sure about the tshort underneath for me personally....I think i'm too old Sad

d culottes are a massive no...my small chunky legs would look horrendous!

keep the ideas coming if there are any more (please and thanks)

I have this dress and it is beautiful on, heavy cotton but with stretch. Only available in a 12.

Sorry meant to say no 14, but is a generous cut.

vaz119 · 25/08/2019 14:03

Just wanted to say thanks again... I opted for a black midi skirt and a cropped shirt with my trainers and I felt casual but nice!

These are the best for pub crawls www.wychwood.co.uk/shop/clothing/ most bar staff recognise the wearer is a real ale fan and happily offer tasters.
