Tipping hairdresser?

Just had haircut and didn’t tip the hairdresser as it cost £65 (in London) I always have the same quandary, should I tip the hairdresser?

I haven’t found one great hairdresser I go to all the time, £50-60 on the haircut seems more than enough so feel stingy if I need to tip.

So be good to know if others don’t tip or if so, what’s the general £

Thanks!

Walk-in £30 cut and blow dry, £2 or £3. £50 or £60 colour, cut and blow dry I tip about a fiver.

It has served me well. Twice I’ve had extra special service. The first time the guy stayed open for me when I had a last minute invitation whilst out and looking a mess 😁. Second time the old hairdresser swept up really slowly free her client so she could do my hair rather than the person’s before me (in a first come first served place) and then told me that the other girl, who was new, wasn’t very good 😲.

For those saying you tip by card in restaurants, a lot of waiting staff never see these tips, always directly tip in cash.
