Hi can anyone recommend and industrial concealer or anything that might cover this?
I fell on a skateboarding ramp yesterday (don't ask!!) and landed on my cheekbone.
I got a feeling the best of the bruising is yet to come!!
I'm going out on Saturday night and I'm holiday on Tuesday and could do with not looking like I've done ten rounds with Mike Tyson!!Grin

I like Estee Lauder Disappear.

ew1990 · 21/08/2019 19:24

You need a colour correcter under a concealer. A yellow maybe?

myeyeisblack · 21/08/2019 19:34

Thank you a quick google seems to agree with you @ew1990 and suggests yellow to get rid of purple shadows which is the closest to a black eye I suppose.
I will go and see what I can find in boots tomorrow
Will also check out the Estée Lauder concealer too thanks mike.

I'm such an idiot and in bloomin hurts too!

Off topic but have you checked that you are ok, OP? That is a bit of an egg, there.

myeyeisblack · 21/08/2019 19:39

Thanks bobbin I did go and get checked out yesterday as I literally face planted (well cheek planted) a concrete floor!
They gave me and X-ray as they thought I'd broken my cheekbone but luckily just soft tissue damage.
Never try and climb up a wet skateboard ramp they are very slippy Grin
Bloody kids will be the death of me!

NYX or urban decay yellow concealer and then MAC studio fix

maslei · 21/08/2019 19:48

ELF camo concealer! Proper stuff, haven't come across an affordable one that's got as much coverage Smile

maslei · 21/08/2019 19:50

Sorry, I should say one that's as affordable, it's only £5!

faeriesandelves · 21/08/2019 20:05

Oh no! Try Arnica cream to reduce bruising and I use a yellowy Orange concealer to reduce my dark shadows under my eyes

myeyeisblack · 21/08/2019 20:13

Can't believe I didn't think of arnica!
I have that in the medicine cupboard do you think it will be ok so close to my eye?
Doesn't say anything about not putting near eyes on the box...

A lot of makeup ranges have recently brought out camouflage concealers, designed to cover tattoos. They are your friend. I'm currently using one to cover a bruise, I'm using it like foundation and only putting actual foundation on the other areas. L'Oreal do one, mine is an Essence from Wilko, just because the shade is a perfect match for my skin.

NisekoWhistler · 21/08/2019 21:55

Try the one from Tarte, I think it's good enough to cover tattoos!

myeyeisblack · 25/08/2019 12:50

Thank you for the advice!!

As a suspected the bruising got a lot worse

@Wonkybanana I ended up getting the wilko concealer and a yellow concealer I think it did a pretty good job! So thank you Smile

Pics are me last night (sorry bit blurry too many winesGrin) and me this morning (sorry hungover faceGrin)
