Does anyone have one of these? What's the quality like?

XingMing · 21/08/2019 15:54

I have several scarves, and the quality is good. The kimonos are the same fabric... light and silky with a good drape.

nickEcave · 21/08/2019 16:55

I bought one of the short kimonos earlier in the summer and It's really nice to wear over a vest top and shorts or cropped jeans but it is very much summer wear.

KellyMarieTunstall2 · 21/08/2019 19:57

I bought the Paris map short kimono that was on Mumsnet offer earlier this summer. The quality is good and I have worn it to death. It was a great value summer addition.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 21/08/2019 21:35

I really fancy one of the short ones. Really wish you could choose your own city!

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 21/08/2019 21:51

Anyone seen the evening coats in real life? The pansy one is just gorgeous but I'm not sure if it'd completely swamp me (5ft2, size 12)

Scabetty · 21/08/2019 22:06

Beautiful quality. I have two short, one long snd an evening coat.

MrsApplepants · 21/08/2019 22:11

I’ve got two short kimonos, lovely quality but summer wear. I do love them though

GreyHare · 21/08/2019 23:32

I have 3 of the short kimonos, love them I wash them in the machine on a 30 and a quick whizz over with the iron and they are perfect, I wear them over vest tops with jeans/harem pants/cropped combats.

Athrawes · 22/08/2019 10:33

Saved myself a fortune there - they don’t ship to my country!

SilverySurfer · 22/08/2019 14:34

I was thinking of buying a full length kimono but disappointed that they are 50% acrylic/50% Modal rather than silk so shall save a fortune for a different reason.

MrsGarethSouthgate · 22/08/2019 16:14

I can't make my mind up how I feel about the longer styles with belts, but am also a sucker for a discount so have bought one as an experiment Grin

NothingWithoutEffort · 24/08/2019 09:12

I have one of the shorter ones - it's beautiful. The material drapes really nicely.

Spinnaret · 24/08/2019 09:15

When/where does anyone wear these? I love the look of them, but simply cannot imagine any occasion when it would actually get worn. Maybe I am just not stylish enough.

Alsohuman · 24/08/2019 09:44

I don’t like showing my upper arms so I wear mine everywhere on hot days. It will be making a trip to the supermarket today @Spinnaret.

NothingWithoutEffort · 24/08/2019 12:25

I've only worn mine once on a night out, as for me it's quite dressy. I love that you can just wear it over skinnies / vest / whatever to instantly look dressed up.

Spinnaret · 24/08/2019 12:36

Thanks. I can't help thinking I would feel like I am wearing a dressing gown, so it just may not be my style.

NothingWithoutEffort · 24/08/2019 13:23

I think I'd worry about that with the longer ones too. The shorter one definitely doesn't look like that.

EnidButton · 24/08/2019 17:05

I thought they were dressing gowns? That's how Nigella wears hers.

ProseccoSupernova · 24/08/2019 17:11

Anyone have a pic of one being worn? Some lovely patterns but hard to tell when not shown on a person!

Alsohuman · 24/08/2019 19:14

There are dressing gowns too @EnidButton, I have the Paris map one. My kimono is a hip length jacket.

northernlites · 24/08/2019 19:32

Is the discount code on all items or just the one listed at the top?

EnidButton · 24/08/2019 20:27

Also Ah! Thank you. Yes it's the longer gown ones I've looked at in the past. The Paris one is my favourite. I can see how the kimono style and shorter ones could be worn as cover ups in warm weather. Or even the gowns actually. I just thought I'd got it totally wrong.

Lovelydovey · 24/08/2019 20:33

I wear mine to work with cigarette pants. Also own a one hundred stars duster coat which I wear with cigarette pants and stilettos - I think it looks stylish and get great comments on it, apart from DH who reckons it looks like a dressing gown...

TwattingDog · 27/08/2019 18:22

I wear my Paris short Kimono over vest tops to work, out to the pub, you name it. It dresses up my rather plain style!

Keep the discount codes coming 😁
