How do you clean your Dubarrys?

I just wondered if you use the official creams/conditioners or if there are any good alternatives? Also, how do you restore the colour?

Thank you Smile

Im selling a pair at the moment, a few scratches, scuffs came off easily with vaseline. I applied a test first, just a dab over scuff with a cotton bud/qtip. Left for a minute then gently buffed with a cloth.

They have a cleaning page on their website which is worth reading first, just to be careful.

I've always used saddle soap on my country boots' leather bits - DD has Dubarrys and I have Ariats. I tend to treat them the way I treat my tack - sponge off the mud, rub in saddle soap/leather balm (I have the Effax one - love it!), leave to dry, polish with soft cloth.

Blush I dont! they get used and abused, worn every day when doing horses , except summer! However when these ones die I will go back to the tuffa boots which I much prefer.

I use normal brown boot polish and a suede brush on the suede bits.

Dubbin!

HotdogSausagedog · 21/08/2019 16:29

Thank you so much for the replies and tips!

I was trying to work out if I really needed to buy the (ridiculously expensive Shock ) dubarry polish/ cleaning kits or not - so you've saved me a small fortune!

Thank you! Flowers

Agree with the Dubbin. Just done mine and my riding boots as well - but use polish on them

Thank you, I will order some dubbin. Can I buy any polish for the leather bits? And what about the nubuck (sp?) parts - do I need to use something different for them? Smile
