Please find me a job interview outfit!

I have an interview for my dream job next week. My CV makes me sound amazing and I’m desperate not to be a huge let down in person!

I’m 48, and a size 14. I hate my arms, tummy and thighs. I have red hair. I normally wear black. Black would be fine at this interview as it’s a creative role.

I need to look a bit edgy and cool. Like a cape blazer? Are those still a thing?

I need serious inspiration please. Budget about £100 but might invest more.

Thanks!

That dress is lovely and suits your figure, op.
Perhaps a light coloured silky type scarf
draped just under the neckline and tucked in to the cleavage.

Thank you, @RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie and @LarderWoman!

I’m queen of the scarves so I’ll definitely try one to disguise the bappage. And I’ll try it on again with heeled boots and post a picture. LOVE the fishnet idea - my coolest friend always wears fresh-coloured fishnets and they look amazing.

Ok, I tried a scarf and it just looks a bit too wintery.

DH just pointed out that the dress is TOTALLY SEE THROUGH when the light’s behind me - you get a perfect silhouette of my legs. So I’ll get a long camilsole/slip to cure both issues.

Feeling a bit nervous. Would I be better in dark trousers and a blazer?

It’s going to be 80 degrees next week. 😓

I would go with that first dress. Professional design but funky pattern.

Good luck!

Also more weather appropriate Smile

Do you mean the animal-print long dress from Asda? I love it but it looks awful on me, I think.

I am sure these are nice on but I am not feeling the love. To me they look cheap. I tried on several in shops they were all uncomfortable and cheap looking. Luckily I remembered I had some black shoes at home anyway. I also cannot understand how anyone finds those ballerina flats comfy. I hate feeling the ground beneath my feet!

I don't wear high heels either.
