I’ve just ordered a bunch of items from the Apricot sale, I have worn a lot of stuff from there in the past but usually dresses that end above the knee which I’ll wear with sandals/ballet flats/knee boots depending on season.

I’ve just ordered this in the sale - a bit of a departure for me because of the length. I’m short & fat curvy (5’2 size 14 boobs 34G) and it’s occurred to me I’m not sure what style of shoes would go with it! The model is wearing sandals, but what about heading into autumn, not knee boots I guess. I can’t wear heels due to old injuries/pain issues with my knees.

So please dear stylish people what would you wear/how would you ‘style’ this dress if you were me? Sorry I feel a bit clueless, I haven’t dressed nicely for a while due to MH issues and I’m not feeling confident about style choices at all.

Thanks lovelies!

Sorry to hear you've not been feeling great and well done for reaching a stage where you're beginning to care again (been there!)

It's a great colour dress.

I think people more fashionable than me would wear it with trainers or tennis shoes. I'd probably wear it with ankle boots, flat if you can't do heels. Maybe something like this or, I think buckles are going to be popular this winter so maybe this sort of thing.

I think simple white trainers/plimsoles would look great.

Thankyou guys!

Ooh I think I have some buckley flat ankle boots stashed somewhere from a few years ago, yay! I could never work out how to wear them.

White trainers/plimsolls - like low-top converse/vans? I like those, they’re comfy.

I also ordered this dress too www.apricotonline.co.uk/catalog/product/view/id/25230/s/yellow-lattice-edge-shift-dress/# hoping wearing colours will project more positive moods :-)

Nice. I like that. It looks just like the dress from Next that people suit everyone should have.
