Tween bra help

Chattermummy · 19/08/2019 09:03

So DD is 13, 5’9” and a skinny size 6 and is now needing her first bra, crop tops are just not doing anything for her now. I measured her myself, she has SN and was stressing about letting a stranger near her.

She is measuring 27” under bust and bending over measures 33”. So I reckon a 28 E or a 28F, does that sound about right? If so where on earth will I get her a bra that size without spending an absolute fortune

Thanks

Do the boob or bust method online

Chattermummy · 19/08/2019 09:13

I did, 28F. But I can’t find any bras that size in shops I have checked. Only one on Debenhams website and DD said it looked horrid

Asda had a new teen range in, not sure what size they go to, dd wears a 32 dd, we buy from supermarkets or primark.

Take her to bravissimo. Selfridges in London also excellent and I have found house of Fraser ladies to be good. Freya bras should fit her - figleaves and bravissimo online if you can't get to a shop. They all have stuff on sale. I am similarly sized and have some
Nice stuff from M&S - just don't let them measure her!!

Victoria secret or pink. The sizing is different there. Dd is 13 and wears a 32ddd which is a 32e/f. Try on different styles as different styles fit differently. Eg dd can’t get the lightly lined wireless as they seem to be smaller in the cup.

Dd is really a bigger cup size but being a typical teen she wants the same as all her friends have. Even though they all cut the labels out??

Even the sports bras/crop tops in pink are much more supportive than the tween crops from marks and Spencer’s and so can do the job well
If dd would prefer that style to a proper bra.

They will measure her in store if she will let them. My dd wouldn’t so I gave them the measurements and they then sorted out stacks of bras for her to try on which they then checked the fit of.
The changing rooms were full of young teenagers waiting to be fitted.
