Are £120 swimming cossies worth it?

It is actually less that that as I have a 40% off code but is a swimming cossie that expensive worth it - will it look better and last longer? I usually buy supermarket ones but they fall apart after a couple of years wear on beach and in pool. It is a Land's End one I am looking at.

I'm not familiar with the brand, but if you need support and structure you'll have to pay for it.

I need good boob, tummy and bum support and buy mine from a lingerie shop. Pricey, but worth it, for the confidence. I'd only bring one on holiday and wash it every evening, so I'm not spending a fortune to have 3-4 different ones.

dreichhighlands · 19/08/2019 02:41

Lands end is a mud range brand in the UK.
I have a couple of their suits as do dc, they are fine maybe m&s quality if that helps?

dreichhighlands · 19/08/2019 02:42

Mid range not mud! And USA not UK.
Brain obviously switching off.

I had a cheaper LE costume. It master about 5 years of using it twice a week. I’m guessing the pricey one is one that holds and supports everything. I’d say LE swimming costumes are far bettter quality than M&S.

Oldbat66 · 19/08/2019 05:55

I bought a LE support Cossie last year on a similar deal. It’s very well made, the design is fashionable (not always LE’s area of expertise) and it knocks a stone off me. It does feel a bit “heavier” than a cheap pull on cossie, but nothing like support cossies can be.

The quality shows.

M&S are nothing in comparison.

TheHoundsofLove · 19/08/2019 06:00

I also agree that Land's End swimming costumes are hugely better quality than M&S! I think they're worth every penny - mine are so flattering, still as good as new (I've had one for at least 3 years and wear it at least once a week) and they don't ride up so are fab for actually swimming in.

Thanks all - am going to try it given I have the discount code - still the most expensive swimming costume I have ever bought though!

Discount code is 50% on swimsuits today.

BringMeTea · 20/08/2019 08:39

Lands End is much better quality than M and S. I have both.

Italianna · 20/08/2019 11:18

This sounds v interesting.

Are they good for a long body and minimal boobage?

Would you mind sharing the discount code please?

Hoppinggreen · 20/08/2019 11:23

LE cossies do have a good rep but also look at Boden, I’ve got a couple from there and they are pretty flattering

Djangor3725 · 20/08/2019 12:08

SWE19 is supposed to be the code - just for today.

BikeRunSki · 20/08/2019 16:02

@Italianna - a lot of LE swimming costumes come in a “Long” option. You chose it in the “size range” options box.

Thank you @BikeRunSki and @Djangor3725 I have spent a small fortune on swimming cossies of all shapes and sizes in the hope of finding one that doesn't make me look like a pre-pubescent boy up top and a matronly woman on the bottom. Hoping at least 1 won't be returned!!

AdmiralButterfly · 20/08/2019 18:19

I bought with the 40% before you posted the 50%. Here’s hoping I love it.

Which one have you ordered, OP?

Ah...a great choice. I have that one in bright blue and love it! It's very well-made, flattering and does look 'expensive' - I think it's definitely worth the price.

Namechangeforthiscancershit · 21/08/2019 06:47

Ooh that's really nice!

Anything I've had from them is WAY nicer than M&S

Italianna · 22/08/2019 20:43

Just a quick thank you to OP @AdmiralButterfly for starting a thread that has resulted in me finding swimming costumes that not only fit but look kinda OK, something that has alluded me all my adult life! Thank you and I hope yours looks great and you are pleased with it.
