Does this sound a stupid idea. Sock like tights

Does this sound a stupid idea?
I have ankle grazer trousers for work. I wear black shoes with them. I want to look like I have tights underneath (like fishnets maybe ) to look more wintery and to keep my feet warm.
I don't want to wear real tights as I'd melt
I can only find fish net ankle socks but they need to be longer than that.
Does it sound stupid? And is it possible to get any like that?
Thanks

Sparks do wide fit knee highs

H&M do these in plain and pattern, I saw a load of teenagers buying them last week so you may be ahead of the curve OP!

I’ve got fat legs. Normal knee high pop socks are great.

This could be it! I could finally be the start of a fashion trend 😂
To cut a long story short I work in a high school where we have suddenly been told exactly what we can wear. My dresses are too short, too colourful and too patterned. (!) so I've bought new trousers and a selection of tops. But now I'm stressing that my feet will be cold as I walk there and back so I thought ankle grazers, fish nets and ballet pumps would look nice and be a bit of individuality which I'm going to dreadfully miss.

Trainers with socks for the walk! Comfier than ballet pumps, drier in the rain and saves wear & tear!

I’d definitely just wear different shoes for the walk or even boots to keep your ankles warm, and then change into ballet shoes or other work-appropriate ones when you arrive. I can’t get over the idea that fishnets would keep your feet warm - they’re full of holes! You may as well not be wearing anything!
